What we collect and why
When you book a call through our booking page, we collect your name, email address, phone number and anything you tell us about your business, so that we can hold the call and follow up. When you become a client, we collect the business information needed to deliver the service, including access you grant to your Google Business Profile and website, and the customer contact details you provide so that review requests can be sent in your business's name. We process this data to perform our contract with you, or, before a contract exists, because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to your enquiry.
Your customers' data
If you are a client, the customer names and contact details you provide for review requests are processed on your behalf and on your instructions. You remain the controller of that data and we act as your processor. We use it only to send the review requests and reminders you have asked us to send, we honour opt-outs immediately, and we delete it when you ask or when our agreement ends.
This website and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages help visitors. It runs only if you click Accept on the cookie notice; until then, and if you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot identify you. Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses. We use no advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share data with
We use third-party providers to run our business: our booking and messaging platform, our email provider, and our website host. Each processes data on our instructions under a contract. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for twelve months after our last contact unless you become a client. Client records are kept for the duration of our agreement and for six years afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. Customer contact data processed for review requests is deleted when our agreement ends or sooner on your instruction.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email support@modern-playbook.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the last update in the footer.
